Founder
Michael Greve is a developer and consultant specializing in the tourism industry. In the early 2000s, he was among the first to take a leading interest in cruise destinations, and today he continues to lead new projects across the Caribbean and Central America.
He has managed developments and investments in more than 20 international jurisdictions, working with investment banks, private equity firms, commercial banks, and international finance institutions. He has advised government ministries, port authorities, and cruise lines on the financial and physical planning of ports and destinations. In addition, he has been a principal in two Caribbean port developments and is a principal shareholder of a successful Costa Rican tour operator. In the hotel sector, he led resort development bids and completed management agreement negotiations with Hilton, Westin, and Sheraton, among others, over more than a decade.
He earned an MBA in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BS in Multinational Business with a minor in Japanese from Florida State University, both with academic scholarships. He has lived in Tokyo and conducted business in Japan, Southeast Asia, Western Europe, the Caribbean, Central America, and the United States. He speaks Spanish, having lived and studied in Seville, Spain. He is also conversant in Japanese, bringing a global perspective and cross-cultural expertise to every engagement.
Michael has been a speaker on development at the Organization of American States, the American Association of Port Authorities, and the Caribbean Tourism Organization. He is a 20-year entrepreneur who began his career in hotel operations, corporate financial planning, and commercial development with three Fortune 500 companies.
Based in Miami, he is an avid traveler, tennis player, and sports enthusiast, and is the founder of the Veragua Rainforest Foundation in Costa Rica
